it's all part of the plan

posted on Sunday, October 27, 2013 @ 11:39 PM my bro managed to persuade my father to get a new camera. it arrived on friday and we had lots of fun with it (as evident). 1. today's date 2. stitch 3. poker cards that my brothers dug out 4. my origami wxyz model 5. dusty things 6. wedding portrait on friday after sleeping in the library while px diligently mugged chinese, i promised myself to finally start on o's revision this weekend.
and now it's sunday night and i haven't touched work at all????
my parents still think that my hcl paper is next thurs and i don't bother correcting them hahaha but ohno what if it's really next thurs oops it's not right right??
i finished songs of the humpback whale and it was heartbreaking ;__; </3 and it was one of the most captivating books i've read in a few months. on friday night i seated myself comfortably on the sofa with it in hand to watch the last episode of xiaoxiaochuanqi ...... and ended up skipping about half the episode after i forgot to stop reading during one of the commercial breaks ;__; but i'm too lazy to go on xinmsn to watch the part i missed (and also the other ep that i missed because i was rushing math). the new show that starts next monday looks promising but i like the family/romance type more than the detective-crime-mystery-ish genre so idk if i will continue to have late-evening entertainment
and then i finished lips touch: three times which i thought was quite wonderful in the fantasy-book sense. i think i have become quite desensitized to fantasy escapism after i got introduced to the dystopian & thriller genres but still, it was quite a nice read. the book is made up of three stories but the real masterpiece is really just the 3rd one. it seemed to me that the sole purpose of the first two stories (with one good ending and one bad ending) is just to prepare the reader for the last story, they were that supplementary and ... mediocre. what i didn't quite like about all three stories is how insignificant the author makes the adult characters be. i mean ya la the target audience is YA but you can't just chuck the adults aside like used dolls after you're done with them, it's not right!! :( at least provide some closure plz
i first heard of this book through a goodreads review and the reviewer accused the book of being 'purple prose' and compared it to shatter me which i think is really unfair like what how is this even comparable to shatter me. firstly they are worlds apart in terms of genre and secondly lips touch three times is obviously better writing than shatter me!!! and thirdly doesn't old-world fantasy actually require fanciful writing
3 more days to graduation.
i am really ~calm~ right now but do you mean to say that there are really 2 lines o m g
i thought i would know: that when you really really start doing it, the jokes would stop. that there would be a sign. i really thought that you would realise your own ignorance (sorry, but it's true) but ... i'm not sure now. i really don't know. Labels: long and lengthy, photoheavy |
imbécillité But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. |
